  1. Winter J-Term Pre-registration begins on Monday, October 30, 2023.
  2. Winter J Term 2024 classes start on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
  3. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 is the last day to Add a class or Drop with a 100% refund.
  4. The last day to Drop a class (50% refund) is Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
  5. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday is Monday, January 15, 2024. Classes do not meet, and offices are closed.
  6. The Last Day of Classes for Winter J Term 2024 is Friday, January 19, 2024.
  7. Winter J Term 2023 final grades are due in e-Campus on Sunday, January 21, 2024 before the 1st day of Spring 2024 classes.

URI Spring 2023 semester has 15 weeks of instruction. Here are the important dates and deadlines on the URI academic calendar for Spring 2023.

  1. Advising Day is January 20, 2023.
  2. Spring 2023 classes start on January 23, 2023.
  3. e-Campus Open Add Period is January 23 – January 29, 2023.
  4. e-Campus Permission Number Late Add Period is January 30 – February 5, 2023.
  5. February 5 2023, is the last day to add Pass/Fail Option.
  6. Courses dropped on February 14 2023 or after this date will have a “W” for Withdrawal recorded on the academic record (transcript).
  7. Presidents Day holiday is February 20 2023. Classes do not meet, and offices are open (Snow emergency makeup day if needed).
  8. March 6 2023 is the last day for students to DROP courses in e-Campus (late drop form required after this date).
  9. Mid-semester March 8 2023 on the URI academic calendar 2022-2023.
  10. URI Spring Break 2023 is from March 13 2023 to March 19, 2023. Classes do not meet, offices are open.
  11. Freshmen Mid Term Grades are due, and Mid Term Surveys are due in e-Campus by 12:00 pm on March 21, 2023.
  12. March 24 2023 is the last day to CHANGE from Pass/Fail Option.
  13. The last day of classes for Spring 2023 is May 1, 2023.
  14. Reading day is May 2, 2023 – May 3, 2023. Class makeup day if needed and approved by Provost.
  15. URI Spring 2023 final examination is on May 4 – May 5, 2023 & May 8 – May 10, 2023.
  16. Spring 2023 final grades are due in e-Campus by 12:00 pm on May 16, 2023.
